At Bay Dental Solutions, it’s not necessary to spend several appointments getting a new crown. Bay Dental uses CEREC, a new CAD/CAM technology that allows us to custom fabricate and place strong tooth colored crowns and restorations right here in our office and all in a single appointment.
First, we prepare the tooth for your restoration. Next, we use a special optical infrared camera that records the exact dimensions of the prepared tooth directly into the CAD/CAM computer. Then, we carefully design the restoration and select the appropriate material of the proper shade for your specific tooth. We place this material into a milling machine which in just a few minute shapes it into a beautiful, custom-fitted restoration.
Finally, we the try the new restoration, adjust coloring if necessary, and bond it into place. With the extremely accurate CAD/CAM technology, you’ll have a strong and beautiful restoration in just one appointment.
