Steve Djuric DDS, Pensacola Dentist
While attending the prestigious University of Southern California, Dr. Djuric was recognized by his instructors and peers as an innovator. He was awarded first place at the Alumni meeting for his research project. He also presented his work at a table clinic at the 1991 California Dental Association Scientific Meeting in Anaheim on removable partial dentures.
He was recognized for his clinical skills and in 1991, he was asked to serve on the faculty at USC as a clinical instructor in restorative dentistry, a lab instructor, and teaching assistant in prosthetics. He was asked to lecture senior students on his research project in Corrected Cast Technique and was a participant in numerous Mobile Clinics.
Dr. Djuric has always had a keen interest in oral pathology which lead him in 1993 to accept a position at Pensacola Junior College as a clinical instructor and lecturer in periodontology and oral pathology. Because of his awareness of oral cancer (one of the 10 most common cancers), he has implemented an early detection system called “Vizilite” in his practice.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Florida Dental Association, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Djuric has been serving the Pensacola area since 1992. His wife, Margaret, a dental lab technician with 35 years experience in cosmetic crown & bridge dentistry is part of Dr. Djurics’ trained, professional staff. James Cook, denture technician with over 40 years experience in removable partials and dentures, is also part of our team and works hand-in-hand with Dr. Djuric to create beautiful, customized dentures.
Margaret, Dental Ceramist & Office Administrator
I’ve been working in the dental field since 1970 when I became certified as a dental assistant. In 1974 I began my training as a ceramist in the dental laboratory an earned my certification in 1980. It’s been my privilege to work with some of Pensacola’s finest cosmetic dentist. In 1995 I joined my husband, Dr. Steve Djuric, in private practice where we have worked together side-by-side to deliver beautiful, state-of-the-art cosmetic dentistry. In addition to my work with cosmetic crown & bridge, I am also the office administrator.
What I love best about working at Bay Dental Solutions is getting to meet all the great people who walk through our door. It’s truly our privilege to serve you.
Megan, Dental Hygienist & Treatment Coordinator
I graduated from Pensacola Junior College in 2009 with an A.A.S. degree in dental hygiene and have been working at Bay Dental Solutions ever since. Educating my patients about their oral health and how to improve it is one of my every day goals. I enjoy all of the new technology we have to offer in order to give our patients more options for the best treatment. I recently went to Ohio to learn more about dental implant placement and how to improve our techniques. I have also been to Jacksonville and Las Vegas to learn about the new CEREC technology. This technology allows us to make crowns in-office, which makes crown appointments more efficient and less time consuming for the patient. All of this continuing education has kept me up to date on the latest and greatest technology that we can provide to our patients. I look forward to always continuing my training and education so that I can better serve you!
Jennie, Dental Hygienist & Office Administrator
I joined Bay Dental Solutions in March, 2011 and I am excited to be a part of this wonderful practice! I graduated with an A.A.S. degree in dental hygiene from Pensacola Junior College in 2004. I practiced as a dental hygienist for almost 7 years and have now decided to advance my career as an office administrator. I always strive to create and maintain a friendly, calm, and courteous environment for our patients while handling the front office duties. I also assist the doctor when needed and help coordinate treatment for our patients. What I enjoy the most about this office is the high-tech equipment that gives us the ability to diagnose and treat our patients with the highest standard of care. Dr. Djuric is always pushing us to be the best we can be and loves to provide us with continuing education for the benefit of both the staff and patients. Most recently we went to the Midwest Implant Institute in Ohio for dental implant training. I learned so much about the entire dental implant procedure and I can’t wait to put my recent training to use!
Vladi, CEREC – CAD/CAM Technician
I am currently a pre-med student at the University of West Florida and I am contemplating a career in the dental field. I have been employed at Bay Dental Solutions since the beginning of the summer to learn and study under Dr. Djuric. During my time in the office I have been trained in CEREC technology and dental assisting. I have also studied at the Midwest Implant Institute in Ohio to be more adept at assisting with implant surgery in the office. I have also taken classes in digital photography in order to better represent the patients’ new smile. During the past few months I have enjoyed my time working under Dr. Djuric and his staff, and I look forward to continuing my education as part of the Bay Dental team!
Alex Leatherbury, Dental Assistant
I am currently a junior at the University of West Florida with a double major in Elementary Education and Psychology. I joined the Bay Dental team in July 2011 and I have enjoyed learning about dentistry while assisting chair side and also working in the front office. What I love best about working at Bay Dental is that Dr. Djuric makes it a continuous learning experience for me. Every day I learn something new that I am able to apply to my interactions with our patients. I really enjoy the field of dentistry and plan to assist throughout my college career.
